Spotlight Blog | Congratulations to the Red Hat Certified Professional of the Year Runner Up

Congratulations to Raoul Baudach, Linux Operations Engineer for Swisscom AG, for being named the 2020 Runner-Up Red Hat Certified Professional of the Year.

Each year during Red Hat Summit, we recognize Red Hat Certified Professionals who demonstrate ingenuity, hard work and expertise by making a difference in their organizations. Raoul’s Linux and open source journey began at the age of 15 when he used Linux to set up gaming and web servers. Since becoming a Red Hat Certified Professional, Raoul has obtained thirteen Red Hat Certifications and is currently a Red Hat Certified Architect Level VI.

Over the past two years Raoul and the Swisscom developer team have planned, developed, and implemented a net new Automation Framework using Red Hat Ansible Automation and Red Hat Ansible Tower in order to reduce the daily operational business load for their team and create a new method to automate deployments. Using Ansible, Raoul was able to optimize automation role concepts by generating more modularization usage per role. From this project, Raoul and his team have cut their deployment times in half.

Raoul is currently based in Switzerland where he is one of eight Red Hat Certified Architects in Infrastructure. Among his certification goals are to hold all of the Red Hat Specialist Certifications at once.

Join us in congratulating Raoul on his achievements this year as a Red Hat Certified Professional.
