New Red Hat Certified Architect Concentration for developers

Earlier this year we announced RHCA concentrations -- recommended sets of Red Hat credentials that demonstrate particular areas of focus -- datacenter, cloud and application administration to start. Red Hat Certification is now introducing a new Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) concentration: the RHCA Concentration in Enterprise Application Development.

For the past ten years, RHCA has been a valued credential for infrastructure I.T. professionals. in order to become RHCA, one had to earn Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) then pass an additional five exams. Last year we expanded the choices of what those exams could be in order to accomodate newer exams covering emerging technologies. Over the past six years Greg Kable and Anthony Patricio of the certification team have been building a portfolio of middleware certifications covering Enterprise Application Platform, Fuse, BRMS, BPM, and Data Virtualization. At this time there is only one product -- Data Grid -- that does not have an exam...and development is underway.

What better time to expand RHCA? We have a great portfolio of certifications for developers. In the Red Hat tradition, they are all hands-on and performance-based. It is now possible to earn Red Hat's highest certification -- RHCA -- by earning Red Hat Certified JBoss Developer (RHCJD) plus five additional developer/middleware-focused Red Hat credentials.
