The Red Hat curriculum and certification team have been busy preparing for Red Hat Summit.  We hope that you will plan to join us for as many of the training and certification activities as possible! The team will be located in the Partner Pavilion of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Here are a few activities that we wanted to highlight so you can put them on your schedule:

Monday, May 1st

Power Training

The first day of Summit Power Training. 9 courses are available for a deeper dive into specific topic. Each course is 2 days long from May 1-2, 2017, starting the day before the main conference. Attendees are also invited to a technical meet and greet.

 

Power Training Technical Meet and Greet

Hosted in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center | 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

Summit attendees that are enrolled in Power Training will have the opportunity to enjoy food, beverages and conversation with members of the Red Hat curriculum team.

 

Tuesday, May 2nd

The Red Hat Certified Professional of the Year

Exhibit floor level (exhibit hall A) |  8:30 am.

Summit opens with a general session keynote delivered by Jim Whitehurst, Red Hat CEO. Jim will announce the winner of the 2017 Red Hat Certified Professional of the Year award. Join us in congratulating this year’s winner!

 

Red Hat Certified Professional Reception

Harpoon Brewery and Beer Hall |  7:30 - 9:30 pm.

Annual Summit event exclusively for Red Hat Certified Professionals will be at Harpoon Brewery. Guests will spend the evening with fellow Red Hat Certified Professionals at the Boston waterfront brewery where the first Harpoon Ale was brewed. Together we will celebrate your accomplishments of being a Red Hat Certified Professional and say a toast to the 2017 Red Hat Certified Professional of the Year.You must wear your Red Hat Summit event badge with a Red Hat Certified Professional ribbon to attend. New this year, to get your ribbon, you must visit the Red Hat Training and Certification Showcase, in the Partner Pavilion of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.  

 

Wednesday, May 3rd

Driving Real World Success with Consulting and Training breakout session

Room 153A | 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM

Enterprises face significant challenges delivering new solutions while preparing their organizations and individuals to meet current and future technology needs. In this session, Red Hat Services leaders will discuss how customers and partners can achieve real-world success using programs, tools, and offerings available through Red Hat’s service offerings and ahead in the roadmap, including a solution delivery framework, assessments, Red Hat Learning Subscription, performance-based certification, and more.

 

Red Hat Certification Q&A Session

Services Showcase in Partner Pavilion | 3:00 - 4:00 PM

Visit the Red Hat Certification Helpdesk in the Services Showcase of the Partner Pavilion. Have a conversation over a beer with leaders of the teams that develop Red Hat Certification exams will be present.  Special gift for the Red Hat Certified Professionals that attend!

 

All week during Summit

Break-fix Challenge

Come by the Red Hat Services showcase to participate. There will be a designated station to participate and scores will be cast live to a leaderboard in the area. Fix the broken code to get your score. Best of all, a winner each day will take home an NES Classic!

Red Hat Learning Subscription Trial

Come test drive the Red Hat Learning Subscription and see for yourself how you can train across all Red Hat Technologies. Our station is located in the training and certification section of the Services Showcase.

Take a Red Hat Skills Assessment

Assess your skills on Red Hat technologies at Red Hat Summit. We will have a station available in the services showcase where you can take any of the 10 skills assessments and get recommendations for training and certification.

Red Hat Certified Professional Store

Purchase Red Hat Certification branded merchandise at the Services Showcase of the Partner Pavilion.
