Istanbul, Turkey, 8-9 November
Over 100 attendees gathered together this November for Red Hat's 2012 EMEA Training Partner Conference, taking over Istanbul's Elite World Hotel. Partners and individuals from South Africa to Finland to Morocco to Russia and all points in between shared experiences and learned new ways to train and certify IT professionals, and how to optimize the customer experience. Those in attendance were partners and individuals that help us deliver training throughout Europe and the world, including Certified Training Partners (CTPs), Delivery Partners, Contractor Instructors, and Training Resellers and Distributors.
The week included presentations covering such topics as industry trends, quality approaches of Red Hat courses and various Red Hat offerings, including virtual training, new courses, and certifications, as well as a keynote from Werner Knoblich, VP and General Manager of Red Hat EMEA. Attendees were also able to share best practices with one another through numerous business and technical sessions, which included sales and marketing topics for reseller and CTP attendees, as well as middleware and infrastructure topics.
Attendees had the unique opportunity to take the JBoss Application Administration II (JB348) pilot course ahead of its European release. In addition to the pilot course, partners and instructors also had the could participate in a Red Hat exam marathon, attempting the Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning (EX442) exam, the Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management (EX436) exam and/or the JBoss Application Administration I (EX248) exam.
Awards
The highlight of the week was the Partner Awards Dinner, which honored those partners and individuals who demonstrated exceptional commitment to their Red Hat partnership. The dinner took place at the famous Galata Tower (http://www.galatatower.net/), and the evening was topped off by traditional Turkish dancing and a presentation of the following awards:
